Honorary Advisor
Honorary Advisor, awarded by invitation only, is the highest accolade presented to prominent leaders who have been/ are actively promoting or contributing to people management and related disciplines in the private, public or voluntary service sectors and have demonstrated outstanding achievement to promote or practice best people management practices through personal vision and professional involvement. The Honorary Advisor is invited and admitted by the Executive Committee.
Voting Members
Voting Members (Eligibility to vote only after one year of membership)
Fellow Member
Fellow Member is the membership grade awarded by invitation only, at the discretion of the Executive Committee or its delegated body, to individuals who have demonstrated substantially prominent achievement in the practice of people management within the industry in which they operate. A Fellow Member shall be entitled to use the post-nominal letters FHKPMA.
Professional Member
Professional Member normally possesses a master's degree or equivalent qualification, with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience in people management. Those with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in a discipline other than Human Resources Management with (a) a minimum of 10 years’ professional experience in people management or (b) a minimum of 10 years’ working experience, including extensive people management experience, may be considered on exceptional grounds. A Professional Member shall be entitled to use the post-nominal letters MHKPMA.
Member
Member is a membership grade for those who possess a bachelor’s degree in human resource management or business management with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in people management. Those with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in a discipline other than human resources management or business management with (a) a minimum of 7 years professional experience in people management or (b) a minimum of 7 years working experience, inclusive of extensive people management experience, may be considered on exceptional grounds.
Corporate Member
Corporate Member shall be an organization that is able to demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Executive Committee or its delegated body that it is actively promoting people management excellence.
(a) up to 2 nominees as representatives as member(s) (must fulfilling the qualification of “Member” grades);
(b) up to 2 nominees have right to be a voting member(s); and
(c) up to 4 representatives to attend activities at member rate.
Non-Voting Members
Associate Member
Associate Member is a membership grade for individuals who hold a bachelor’s degree or sub-degree qualifications in human resource management or business management but have not yet fulfilled the working experience requirements for a higher grade of membership. The associate member should be interested in connecting with the Association and acquiring or applying human resource management knowledge and practices.
Student Member
Student Member is a membership grade for full-time or part-time post-secondary students currently pursuing recognized human resource management or other related programmes. All student members of the Hong Kong People Management Association who pursue a career in Human Resources Management after graduation will enjoy the special privilege of a “two-year membership fee waiver”.
